Almost a pure Blender rigid body simulation — it just needed three keyframes to pull off.
Rigid body mousetrap
I was working toward a pure-physics animation but couldn't get the ball out of the bucket without a few noticeable keyframes. I also couldn't figure out how to create the inertia on the fulcrum from the ball dropping in to release the catch pin — so for now the pin animates on its own and falls to release the fulcrum. So much to learn. I may need to invest in the Flip Fluids add-on, because my water is horrible.
